Kandy-born. Toronto-shaped. Back home to tell your story.
Hi, I'm Zaheer. I grew up and studied in Kandy, then spent the last few years in Toronto, where a camera went from a hobby to an obsession. Now I'm back home, and Pixels with Bliss is how I tell Sri Lankan stories the way I see them: cinematic, warm and real.
I shoot weddings, concerts and birthday parties, in both photo and film. I edit everything myself in DaVinci Resolve and grade it with colour looks I build myself, so your photos and your film feel like one story, not two.
My background is in tech, which makes me a little obsessive about the unglamorous parts: spare batteries, backed-up files and delivery dates I actually keep. On the day, all you need to think about is the people in front of you.

Everything you need to know before we create something together.
How far in advance should I book?
For the best availability, book at least one week in advance. If you reach out 2–3 days before your event, I will do my best to make it work, as long as I am free and we have time to prepare. For weddings and large events, earlier is always better: popular dates in wedding season go months ahead.
Do you travel for shoots?
Yes. I am based in Kandy and cover events across Sri Lanka, including Colombo, Galle, Nuwara Eliya and the east coast. Destination projects abroad are welcome too. Travel costs are included in your quote so there are no surprises.
What is included in your packages?
Every project includes professionally edited photos, a cinematic film, or both, delivered through a private online gallery you can share with family. Depending on the package you can add highlight reels, vertical cuts for Instagram and TikTok, extra hours or a second shooter.
How is pricing determined?
Pricing is tailored to your project: hours of coverage, number of events (for example wedding and homecoming), crew size, location and the deliverables you want. Send your details and you will get a clear written quote.
What types of events and projects do you cover?
Weddings (Poruwa ceremonies, homecomings, nikah, church and Hindu ceremonies), concerts and live events, and birthday parties. I also take on corporate events, dance shows and music performances on request.
What is your turnaround time for edited content?
You get a sneak peek within 48 hours. Full photo galleries are usually ready in 2–4 weeks and films in 4–8 weeks, depending on the season and the length of the edit.
Can you capture both photos and video at the same event?
Yes. Photo + video packages are the most popular option. On larger events a small crew covers photo and film at the same time so nothing is missed.
What happens after I submit a booking inquiry?
You will hear back within 24 hours. We talk through your plans, I confirm availability and send a custom quote. Your booking is confirmed once the written agreement is signed and the deposit is received. Simple and transparent from start to finish.
